TROUBLESHOOTING: LOGIN FAILURE USING CHROME

If you’ve received a failure message while creating or viewing a quote from Salesforce, this note will help you troubleshoot the issue.

The cause of these error message is very likely that your Chrome browser has been set to block access from 3rd party cookies. Follow the steps below to first identify if this is the issue, and if so, the corrective actions to take.

Identify if the Issue is with Chrome

To identify if this issue is related to Chrome, try to create a quote using a different browser (e.g., FireFox or Safari). If you are still not able to create a quote from another browser, contact DealHub support at support@dealhub.io.

Disable 3rd Party Cookies

If you are able to create a quote in another browser, follow these instructions to disable 3rd party cookies:

  1. Open Chrome preferences, click on “Settings” and then “Show Advanced Settings”.
  2. Under “Privacy”, click on “Content Settings” and choose “Cookies”.
  3. Make sure “Block third-party cookies and site data” is not checked.
  4. Try to create proposal again.
  5. If you are still not able to create a quote, proceed to the next section below.

Clean Browser Cookies

If you are still unable to create a quote, you will need to clear your browser cookies, as follows:

  1. Open Chrome “Preferences” and click on “Settings”.
  2. Click on “Show Advanced Settings”.
  3. In the”Privacy and security” section, click on “Content Settings”.
  4. Select “Cookies” and then “See all cookies and site data”.
  5. In the cookies search box, search for “Valooto”.
  6. Delete all cookies that are related to Valooto.
  7. Try to create your proposal again.
  8. If you are still not able to create a quote, proceed to the next section below.

Check for Applications Disabling Cookies

There may be an application that is disabling 3rd party cookies. To identify if this is the issue and correct it, you need need to run the browser with all extensions disabled. Extensions can be disabled as follows:

  1. Right click on one of the extensions in the top right of the browser window and select “Manage Extensions”.
  2. Uncheck “Enabled” next to each extension.
  3. Try to create your proposal again.
